he absolutely has a point, though. robert kraft was literally busted on camera "engaging" with sex trafficking victims and faced no consequences from the league, meanwhile AB was cut (by Kraft) over thusfar unproven accusations.

ben is literally nicknamed rapelisburger and received very minor punishment by his team.

there's a disparity.

Not really.

BR was suspended by the league not his team. He ended up getting four games which would have been pretty standard at the time. I think Hardy got the same penalty but then got put on the exempt list. Also in the case of BR there was very little evidence.

As for Kraft, whatever you thing about the morality of soliciting sex, what he did is a pretty minor offense. It's a misdemeanor and he would have paid a few hundred buck. Eugene Robinson got busted for getting a hooker and played the next day.

Nobody has punished AB but three teams decided they were not in need of his services anymore. Boo hoo.

The guy had about 40 million given to him and taken back over the course of a couple weeks for accusations that may or not be true.  I think a lot of people would be a little unsettled in that situation.

He had $29M taken away over threatening the GM with bodily harm and being a general asshat. These accusations came later.

A few weeks ago I said AB would be sitting on that bench outside of the HoF right beside Terrell Owens trying to explain to each other what went wrong. People thought I was a moron.

At this point, it's going to take a higher power to get through to and save AB. I'm not sure AB thinks there's a higher power than AB.

Lot of folks struggling with mental illness in this world who don't have his gifts, his resources and his followers, who are more deserving of our pity and assistance.

Exactly, and even after that incident the Raiders gave him the opportunity to settle in and quit with the nonsense with his guarantees intact. He was only released when he, again, took to social media to run his mouth and demanded to be released.

The accusations play a role in the Patriots decision but the Raiders outcome was AB's self-inflicted outcome.

There was speculation whether or not the Patriots would fight to keep from paying him the guaranteed money on his contract, with opinions leaning toward that they'd likely just go ahead and pay him.

Now that he's publicly attacked Robert Kraft...eeehhh, probably not.

It's now considered far more likely that they'll fight to the death to avoid paying him anything.

Chess...

if he didn't contact a witness and put pics of her kids in a group text that asked people to investigate her he'd be playing.   the screwed up thing is there are people rich enough, or powerful enough to get away with that sort of thing.

    • Bryce has been playing the best ball of his career the last three games IMO. He wasn't the reason we dropped the game in NOLA. Seattle's defense will be his toughest challenge yet this season
    • I'll be at the game Sunday and up until last year I had a perfect attendance record. Now however I have seen us lose to the Chiefs (last year) and the Bills (this year). So we can no longer rely solely on my ability to pound overpriced beers to propel us to a win.
    • I haven't been able to watch Seattle on a dedicated basis but the Seahawks are a much better team by the all accounts: eye test, record and DVOA. Defensively they are sick. Best DVOA in the league first in rushing and second in passing. Offensively their passing game has been on fire this year led by JSN I can easily see this being like the Buffalo game where things just get out of hand for us early, that being said this league really is week to week and Seattle does have the disadvantage of traveling cross country for an early game.  If and big if, the Panthers are able to effectively run the ball and limit the amount of time Seattle's offense has to generate explosive plays we have a path to winning this game.  Seattle fans won't be happy to hear this but bad Darnold is always lurking in the background. He is truly an enigma to root for bc he will have an incredible throw that only a few people can make but then will turn around and throw the most bone headed pick of all time.  I think ultimately we drop this one as ultimately it's human nature to be looking forward to that week 18 game. But man how special would it be to be leaving the stadium on Sunday with a win and a miracle dolphins upset
