"They have never been able to replace me... until today."

We still need to see more production on consistent level. One catch is not enough in a game, even if it’s a 50+ yarder. They got the ball in his hands on a jet sweep, and that’s not a bad way to use him either.

So he’s definitely not at 89’s level. That play did feel a lot like X-clown.

It was the sudden-ness of that play that made it feel like X-Clown.  Just over so fast that the defense didn't have time to digest what happened.

What was better to me was how that play lit the team up.  You could see it right then.

If the team turns around this season, you can point to that play and then the drive after half where our season turned around.

It helps to have balls thrown your way, and ones you can catch, and a bigger sample size before comparing.

Are you saying balls like the one during the Rams game where he caught it then fumbled after thirty yards, or the Skins game last year where he did the same?  A lot of veteran QBs won't even throw to players that have struggled like DJ with fumbling issues and drops.  He is earning back trust from his QB and teammates every snap.  He has had plenty of passes thrown his way that he could catch.  Quit using positive stuff to take shots at our franchise, former MVP QB.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
