Two points:

First and most importantly, we've only played four games, and each player has missed time this season.

Second - not having sacks does not mean "not effective".

Mccoy and Short are making a total of 21m this season alone. Poe has been the most effective and best DT so far. McCoy hasnt been too bad. Short has dropped off since getting paid.

What's your definition of an effective DL? Our DL is looking great, doing what they should, eating up blockers, stopping the run and collapsing the pocket so the DE/LB can rush the QB. I honestly dont know how much more you can ask for at this point.

I’d like to think this too but he’s been underwhelming in the sacks department.

10 sack kk might be gone but even if he doesn’t get that production he’s still a good player who can make impact plays.

If all KK does is soak up two blockers and push the pocket, he's doing his job in this defense.  You can't double team everyone, and I'm pretty sure there aren't too many tackles in the league very excited about the idea of one on one blocking the likes of Addison, Irvin, Burns, etc.

Yeah I agree. This was a thread for sacks which is what I was responding to.

    • You do, the guy who doesn’t appear to grasp projection.  as the entire board knows, I do in fact, take positions.  The position here I have taken is that Bryce Young is a weak bottom tier starting QB, without NFL starting QB tools, that we must move on from.
    • The OP for one. Asserting that people blamed Bryce for the loss in the title of the thread. That was not the prevailing sentiment at the time this thread was created. Very much a minority thing, I don’t remember but maybe one person if that, putting it on Bryce as the main reason. Troll thread. Did a good job too. Look at the pages.  Someone counting up the draft picks as 10 on offense and 10 on defense or whatever the number was, today or yesterday - of which the offensive ones were heavily 1s and 2s and the defensive picks were heavily day 3 and declaring that proof that the offense wasn’t favored like people claim. The obvious neglect we watched for two years. I spent time refuting that bullshit because someone needed to.  People saying we are bad horrible people and hate poor lil Bryce for no reason, as if it is a personal thing. Constantly.   Along the same lines is people saying we non Bryce fans would rather lose than have him play well and the team wins. That we are mad when the team wins   Point illustrated.
