Yeah except CMC didnt have a terrible knee injury in college that caused a chronic arthritic condition which continues to get worse.

Injuries happen to everyone eventually when the team depends on you to be superman.

Just ask Cam Newton.

So does he continue to play 98% of the offensive snaps or do we give him some breathing room?

Todd Gurley last year should be a cautionary tale to the Panthers.

Gurley’s issues all stem from his knee injury in college, can’t compare the two.

Not everyone. Just ask Russell Wilson

Wilson plays the game differently than most QB's. He doesn't take hits like that. In fact his game is centered around avoiding them.

Power runners like Newton and CMC on the other hand rack up hits in a hurry. Wear and tear is inevitable. Maybe you guys should pump the brakes on the Ron Rivera hype until he can finally win in our division again. Until that happens all I see is our most talented healthy player being ran into the ground because we don't have versatility. Other teams are getting production out of the rest of their backfield. The Saints are without Brees and their backs are putting in work for Bridgewater. Why are the Panthers incapable of this?

I think we have versatility we just don’t use it for some weird reason. They need to give Scarlett some snaps. They also need to to give Moore and Curtis some sweeps.

the workload cmc is given is not sustainable not only this year but for his career.

I suppose I should have said we don't utilize our versatility as opposed to not having any at all. Should have worded that more clearly.

Anyways I agree. The point was that we do have other talented options, we simply aren't implementing those players into any game plans. Do we not trust them? Is the staff just being stubborn? Are we that incompetent? At the end of the day we did have as many as 4 running backs on our initial 53 man roster to start the season. For a staff helmed by a head coach nearly a full decade into his position with all Ron has seen and supposedly learned from, this kind of roster management is not encouraging.

When you have a staff that is waiting for CMC to tell them he is tired and needs to come off the field, its not gonna happen.
