Fewell says it's just another game but is it??

For those who don't know, we picked up Fewell after Jacksonville fired him after he led the Jaguars to 2nd against the pass in 2018 and 1st in 2017. Lo and behold, he moves to the Panthers and suddenly we have the number 1 pass defense through 4 games. So is this just  another game or a chance to show them they made a mistake letting him go.

No I think his players are going to ball out this week as their intensity increases to play for Fewell. The article talks about his personality.

Fewell has been one hell of a hire. Certainly reversed the slow brain drain we've had on that side of the ball since McDermott took the Buffalo job.

A defense coached by Rivera working his magic in the Front 7 and Fewell coaching the secondary is hard to beat

Add to that the talent influx with guys like Burns, Irvin, McCoy, Boston, Miller, and Cockrell getting healthy and it's a recipe for a dominant defense.

Losing Short does suck, but hopefully he will be the last major injury.

And not only has the defense been borderline dominant, they've been fun to watch

We have not faired well when it comes to revenge. Pittsburgh last year with Tepper and McCoy this year against Tampa. Lets just ball and get this W

hated that game but love this quote from the article;

You would hope he has given the coaching staff some good insights on the Jags. 

Whether we actually implement them in a gameplan is a different story.

McCoy gets another chance next week to get payback again.

Exactly. While obviously the Bucs have different coaches, Fewell is very knowledgeable about coverages and how to play other offenses.  I also understand he helps out a good deal with gameplanning.

I’m talking about the jags. Fewell had them 1st and 2nd in the league 2017 and 2018. That’s why I wondered why he was fired and we were able to get him. Unless I’m missing some info that doesn’t make sense.
