Cam to see foot specialist

Probably more likely that Cam just didn't want season ending surgery. To be on the field with his teammates and to show he's worth another huge contract. 

And to anyone questioning his effort regarding rehab - just stop. I'd feel confident betting my house that no QB in the league (actually ever) has logged more hours in the weight room than Cam Newton.

I fully expect Adam Schefter to report tomorrow morning that Cam will undergo season ending surgery on his foot.
