If the playoffs started today we'd be the 8th seed.

  • 1. 49ers 8 - 0  (5 - 0 conference) (NFC WEST DIVISION LEADER) (1 SEED)
  • 2. Saints 7 - 1 (5 - 1 conference)  (NFC SOUTH DIVISION LEADER) (2 SEED)
  • 3. Packers 7 - 2 (4 - 1 conference) (NFC NORTH DIVISION LEADER) (3 SEED)
  • 4. 8. Cowboys 4 - 3 ( 3 - 2 conference)  (NFC EAST DIVISION LEADER) (4 SEED)
  • 5. Seahawks 7 - 2 (4 - 1 conference) (5th SEED)
  • 6. Vikings 6 - 3 ( 5 - 2 conference)  (6th SEED)

  • On the Outside  Looking In...

  • 7. Rams 5 - 3 ( 3 - 3 conference) (with head to head tiebreaker over Panthers) (7th SEED)
  • 8. Panthers 5 - 3 (2 - 3 conference )  (8th SEED)
  • 9. Eagles 5 - 4 (3 - 4 conference)  (9th SEED)
  • 10. Lions 3-4-1 (2-2-1 conference) (10th SEED)

Getting off to a bad start in the NFC has left almost ZERO room for error. We pretty much have to beat the Packers if we even want to sniff the playoffs wc spot.

Lol def not true. You probably said the same thing week 1. Literally half a season left, teams will collapse and rise. Guess what, we were 6-2 last year right now and how did that work out? FOH

Starting 0-2 with our franchise QB out indefinitely?

I'll take it.

Bring on the Packers.

We aren’t making the playoffs. We’re going to be 9-7 at best. More likely will be 7-9 or 8-8. If we had at least been competitive against the 49ers I’d be more optimistic.

By Dec 15, when we play Seattle here (and home advantage against that team is a big thing), we should have AT LEAST 8 wins (2 x Atlanta, plus Wash) -- with 3 to play, all tough ones.  That's WITHOUT an upset win at GB or N.O.

I'm optimistic (what else is new?) IF we're rolling then, even 11 wins is not impossible.  With 1/2 a season to play, many teams will suffer unthought-of injuries, too, which can change everything overnight.  Let's let it play out, and keep a good thought.

    • We don't have to tear down Dak to appreciate what Bryce did yesterday. Dak had 0 running game. If the cowboys were better, he'd be a legit MVP candidate if he keeps playing this way.  They did it with Ceedee last year, but they do a better job of anybody we play consistently of getting their best receiver off Jaycee.  Bryce was good too. If we just catch the ball that was intercepted, we probably win by 7+, and Bryce goes over 200 yards passing.  Biggest shift the last few weeks has been play calling. I thought Canales abandoned the run game way to early at times last year. This year he really seems to be sticking with it.  I still think Chuba is better at making 4 yards when there's nothing there, but Rico is better at making 30 yards when there's 6 there. I like the direction. Hopefully we can get Moton, Sanders and Coker back and really be dangerous. Our play action game is pretty deadly right now.  Unrelated: My favorite quality about Bryce right now is his ability to see the defensive hold and throw the ball there. He EXPOSES the officials when they don't call it. That one on Tetaroia yesterday late in the game was a bad miss on their part.
    • That sacks allowed number lookin juicy!
    • This is a game the Panthers should win... just the sort of game they lose. The Panthers have a bad habit that goes back years of playing down to the competition's level only to mess around and lose the game. The Jets game should be taken very seriously! But I want to enjoy the fact that they beat the Cowboys for at least another day or so!
