Team learning to win without Cam

This needed to happen eventually, and it has begun. Allen is a serviceable QB and can do enough to be successful.

I hope that Cam can return at a high level. Hoping that RR and NT can start spreading the load around. This means using CMC along with our backup RB's to not kill the Panther GOAT.

Let Cam run a few times a game to keep the threat alive and not allow the D to disregard that option. The days of CN carrying the load is over and it should be. The early Cam days are gone and they will become a more complete team because of it.

I thought there were reports that there were teams interested in him?  I find it hard to believe no teams will be interested in him.

Yeah, roughly half the league will be interested in him if we try to trade or release him.

This team hasn't been built around Cam ever. The offense hasn't been since McCaffreys second year. This team is Winning because Allen is balling out at QB making all pro throws, CMC is running his ass off, and the defense is keeping teams to 20. Take any of that away and it's a L.

A QB who hasn't played a year and half of healthy football? Released yes, traded hell no. At this point Cam needs to get healthy and then he will have to win his job back for once. He can't just know he has a job and make poor decisions he has for three years.

They better learn to win without him because he won't be in Carolina next year.

Cam will be in Charlotte no doubt next season.  I can't imagine he has much trade value until teams see he can still play, and that is what next year will be, for both the Panthers and rest of the league.  Can't remember many times, if any, teams traded for an injured QB who's been banged up like this.  I guess the other option is to cut or release him, but dont see that happening either.  It's worth his salary next year to see what he's got.

Before CMC it was all Cam on offense....sh&t WR corp, sh&t Oline, one old RB.....plus a sh%t OC. Sure they had LK and a decent Defense at times....without Cam they wouldn't have scored 14 points a game back then.

Look at this loudmouth back again after Kyle Allen completed 53% of his balls with 3 balls that would have been interceptions on literally any other Sunday.

btw- All Pros can actually hit receivers in stride when they are wide open 40+ yards down field. He has yet to show any resemblance of a deep ball, so pump the brakes.

Where were you last week?

How do you see yourself as any better running down Allen like he runs down Cam.  Any panther fan after week 2 at 0-2 without Cam,  should be delirious we are 5-1 with Allen and still in the race. I don't see what folks get out of running either of them down.

    • Through 2 games cltfc has 12 shot attempts. Opponents 23 shots on target. Attack sucks, Defense definitely sucks. Kahlina is the only reason they haven't given up 14 goals in two games.
    • I met a few times--never liked him. I figured he might have had a bad day--but then realized that he must have a lot of bad days. Once he raised his voice at my son because my son did not understand a question when SS was signing his jersey.  I wanted the jersey to represent his encounter with a Panther great, not some small man with a bad attitude.  I told me son, "Forget it.  He was asking you what your name is (My son was about 7 and told me that he thought Smitty was going to write (my son's) name on the jersey.  He said "Dad, I thought he was supposed to write HIS name on the jersey, not mine."  I said, "He was personalizing it, writing it to you--like a birthday card."  He is now grown, and he has a steve smith Jersey that is framed and matted.  He keeps it is his closet.  I asked him, "Why not have that out on your wall?"  He said, "All I remember is an A-hole scribbled on my shirt.  I don't remember a legend or hero.  But he had a Jake Delhomme Jersey on his wall.  "Jake was great.  I will always remember that."  (Jake stayed and talked to us for about 5 minutes or more--GREAT guy.)
    • Is it possible for someone to regress in maturity as they age or has Steve really just been a jerk his entire life?
