I'd also be concerned about Allen not changing blocking assignments, calling the defense, making any type of adjustments or audibles.

He didn't do it last year, or in the pre-season as well. Heinecke did though... I wonder why.

Go rewatch the 49er game.  He put one out there for Samuel and his half assed effort couldn’t run up under it.

Him overthrowing Samuel on a intermediate route isn't convincing me.

Center has always called out the blocking assignments and defense here.

Cam wasnt allowed to call audibles til year 3.

That's not at all true, watch Cam's rookie year, and center right now is just filling in for the quarterback. This is all excuses.

Yes, because it helped Cam read the defense and make adjustments. It's something some teams do to help save time pre-snap. Right now Allen does nothing.

A lot of teams have their QB do it though.
