Marty Hurney 2019 Draft

1. Drafts a pass rusher only to have him never see the field. Waste of a pick.

2. Tries to sell everyone on taking a tackle that he only saw as first round talent when in fact couldn't start for auburn. What a joke.

3. Drafts the right quarterback only to get buried with no opportunity despite selling everyone he had him higher than kyler murray.

Throw in trying to sell that donte jackson is a starting corner, rashaun golden can be a safety and resigning williams to a big contract and palaris who is just as bad. Ron can only work with the poo talent that hes given. Oh and eric reid is here. Lets not forget hurney was out of the league for years bc hes not capable of being a GM. If we fire anyone first, it should be him. Let rivera and cam earn their poo next year and if it burns down, start over. Kyle Allen is a watered down nick foles.

I'll never judge a draft class 10 games in.

But, it's fair to judge this overall roster 10 games in. It's heavily flawed.

I'm honestly not sure we're a playoff contender in this year's NFC even with the 2015 version Cam and that's even with CMC in the process of rewriting the single season NFL record books for a RB. It's THAT flawed.

Homerism is high in you. Opinion noted.

What the fug are you talking about? I'm as critical as they come. I'm just not a Gettlemanstan like you. Literally every post you make is either shitting on Hurney or lifting up Gettleman's horrendous draft picks.

Where the fug was burns and did you see how often little got beat? Were you even watching? Are you Hurney?

Did you miss the first few games of the season?

I was clearly not talking about today since neither player was injured today.

You remember Burns breaking his hand and Little suffering a concussion?

I like how I can copy and paste this and it still works for you.

Nice hot take. I'm sure you'll stick by this when this class looks killer again.

You really gonna bet against 13 years of history?  Hurney is not good.  Not even average.  Bad, he's real bad.

Good luck on your prediction tho.  Maybe this class will be the one that hits?

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
