you never saw him play at NC State before he transfer to Wisconsin cause he wanted to play baseball and state Coach at the time wouldn't let him return.

I watched Wilson almost every week At NC state but  again you're all over the place

you went from wanting Wilson in the 2011 draft to oh i wanted Wilson because  i watched him at NCST

Still there is no possible way to have wanted Wilson over Newton When Wilson wasn't apart of that draft

Please stop

I think most reasonable fans on this board aren't trying to damn Allen, but it's just clear from watching his decision making that he isn't starting material. Granted our O-line is garbage but some of those passes on the interceptions were just so blatantly awful. He had several opportunities where instead of forcing the pass he could have just ran for a few yards and slid but decided to make a horrible throw instead. I hope he bounces back and gets better, but it's just obvious at this point that Allen is probably back-up QB material at best.

There's a lot of truth in this. I still think he has the "it" factor that can make a starting QB, he definitely has enough to be a back-up, but it is really obvious that there's a lot of wisdom and game skills to learn at the pro level for him. I think he can do it, but there will be tough times. I do like how he has that get back up and fight for it gene in him. The Kid will keep swinging, even when he's getting the tar beaten out of him ... and that can't be taught (see Pickles, errr Jimmy Clausen, for an example of not having that gene).

Palmetto I told you I made a mistake about the year I thought Wilson came out.  Do I need to slit my wist to make you happy on my error.  I wanted him for a back up to Cam.  I thought it would be a tremendous duo of young QB's on one team and each would make the other better.  Cam would push Wilson and Wilson would push Cam.  They were a reasonable price for the next 4 years and if we needed to trade for a player we had a good QB's to use as bait depending on what they would give up for either one of them.  I hope I broke it down to be simple enough for you to understand Palmetto.  Now I will stop.

This is the same Kyle Allen who lost the starting job at the University of Houston after committing six turnovers (four interceptions, two fumbles) in the first two games. This is who he is and the guy I feared would resurface. Why not give the other young arm a chance? Is Will Grier that bad that he can't be given a shot? Its time to see what we have on the roster because if the skid continues and Cam never recovers, we need to have a back-up plan for QB.

There's an argument to be made that throwing Grier out there behind a bad line as a rookie in a bad situation is more likely to destroy his confidence and ruin his career. People often have different views on this sort of thing, but it's not a totally hairbrained notion. I think based just on what we've seen already from Allen this year, that even if you put Grier in for the rest of the year and he looked great, would you really know that he was great, or just that he looked good before other teams got a lot of tape on him? Six games won't let you get enough of a look to base off season decisions upon to any degree of soundness.

I think the Herm Edwards quote applies here. If you are trying to win the game, you need to do what it takes to win. If Will Grier gives us a better chance to win, then we need to play him. If he doesn't, then he should continue to sit. My big concern with putting him in the game is really less about him losing his confidence but if he is a marked improvement over Allen in taking care of the ball. I would say trust the coaches decision making on this however we all know that is a suspect notion.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
