Slye is the kicker because Gano was the kicker because Ron and Hurney cut Harrison Butker

We need a new kicker. That's the bottom line. The next Kasay quest lives on. That's all that needed to be said.

There's plenty of reason to axe Rivera, Turner or Hurney without Trumping stuff up. That's pretty much it.

I don't know if you're talking about next year or now, but if it's now, there's not likely anybody available this time of year that's going to be any better.

Slye & Butker nuthuggerz all specialize in revisionist history & 20/20 hindsight...

...fug that.

It’s not hindsight if you state the moves were idiotic when they were made. That’s not 20/20 hindsight. It’s being right.

When Gano was re-signed, he was better than Butker. But let's not overlook the facts.

When the Panther's org passed on Butker, his FG% was horrible!  0%!  ZERO PERCENT!  Great point!

(P.S. This is the *exactly* the way to never take risks, hardly ever play rookies, always play it "safe"... in other words, The Rivera Way which has brought the Panther's organization such sustained, long-term success.)

Do we know that for sure?

Yeah, they've talked about it before.

Now, in my opinion, a Ron and Marty combination is mostly Ron because he's got the stronger personality. Gettleman had no problem arguing with Rivera if he thought it was full of crap. Marty might disagree with him, but I don't think he's got quite a strong enough personality to truly override him.

Who cares? He’s missed 20 games in 3 years. Your stats are basically 2017 when he was so bad the year before that Ron only let him attempt 1 (he missed) kick from 50+. Not hard to have a great % when your coach doesn’t let you attempt long FGs. 2017 is a complete outlier in Gano’s FG %.

He still missed a chip shot in the playoffs costing us a shot to win at the end with a FG, so I don’t want him back.

I still don't get how people act as if Gano was a viable option this year.

The man just had surgery.
