Ravens vs Rams

Shocker

Recommended Posts

It's not like Andrews doing that great just because he leads the receiving on a team that doesnt put up substantial passing numbers.

They also drafted Hayden Hurst in the 1st round that year ahead of Jackson and Andrews.. I'm sure they would like a redo.

Hindsight would change every draft obviously.

Cam Newton remains the most dominant runner  in the NFL history.  No matter what Lamar does this year.

It’s working and he is defiantly better but Lamar reminds me to a degree of RGIII’s breakout season.   When I say that, while both had success running and passing....neither were asked to really drop back and make difficult throws all game like Cam.  I mean if the scheme works, it works.  So keep doing it.

But I suspect Lamar after the league takes a year to really study what the Ravens are doing this year there will be a league wide course correction and he will come back down to Earth.

But in terms of speed runners, Lamar is the best since Vick

They're really 2 different types of runner. Cam didnt have the breakaway speed but he could run over people and get the tough yards. Jackson just snaps ankles. He will beat you with speed and agility. Enjoy watching them both run in their prime. That's what it looks like when an offense is tailored to fit your QBs strengths.

It sure looks like a Ravens-Niners super bowl.

those two teams are so good on the ground.

I’d love that. If neither Pats or Aints are anywhere near the SB I’ll be a happy man. Go Ravens this year, I love Harbaugh and their team mentality. Haven’t watched much of Jackson but from what I’ve seen he looks as fun to watch as Cam in his prime.

How bad do you think the Rams and McVay are regretting giving Goff that mega contract? They paid an average QB like a future HOFer

It was either that or letting him walk, and the contract probably won’t look that huge in 2 years. That being said, I’d have let him walk or traded him to a desperate team. He sucks.

We'll see how it goes but people keep saying that it's a passing league and running a defense dont matter. If you pay attention over time these things tend to go in cycles.

The Ravens and 49ers look like the two best teams in the NFL. Unsurprisingly, they're 1st and 2nd in the league in scoring.

I said this earlier this year when Baltimore played Kansas City, and got laughed off Twitter. But it’s the truth, and I know Baltimore lost that day, but eventually you need to be able to establish the run. Even New England does that. BMore has a very portable offense, you can travel anywhere with it and win.

    • Maybe a bit of a homer take but I can't give us a grade lower than A.   Freeling was arguably the best LT prospect in the draft.  His athletic ability is off the chart and at 6'7" that can move.  It was a no brainer pick.   Hunter's key word is Violence. Putting him next to Brown should scare an offensive coordinator. These two give Scourton and Phillips plenty of chances to get one on one opportunities. Brazzell, another tall receiver with sprinter speed.  Our WR room is filled with tall talented WR.  Brazzell is going to give us a WR that can take to roof off the defense.  Basically Jimmy Horn with size. W. Lee III has a nickname of the Blanket. (heard this on the Beleav podcast with J. Stewart)  What a great name.  A great value in the 5th round. Hecht A strong, fast and extremely smart center. Many had him listed as the best center in the draft.  He's most likely a starter sooner than later. Wheatley A good safety in round 5.  Someone who could see playing time.   Kuwatch  I love this pick.  At minimum he will be a key piece on special teams and with some good coaching he'll see some packages where he'll play.  His down piece is he doesn't stay up in the running game.  Good coaching will fix this.  He reminds me a bit of A.J. Klein.   All these picks were great value.  I believe everyone of them were graded higher than the pick we took them.   Dan Morgan is IMO doing a great job turning this team into a good team with great depth.
    • Moton is a class act.
    • Sure, that is possible. That’s what, an extra 55 yards a game on average and 7 more TDs? What if he’s just 15th?  I imagine they would extend him in that situation due to the belief that he’ll keep trending up. maybe a 3 year contract to prove he can be top 10? Sounds like a Tepper plan.
