Cautious Optimism

How I feel about the future of the Carolina Panthers. We finally have an owner who will not accept incompetence or mediocrity.  He cares about the football side of the franchise beyond just trying to make money.

i believe that Tepper will not be a meddler but someone who just wants to put a stamp on his franchise.  If we’re all honest, we would do the same if we were the owners.

Frankly it's a lot of what I was wanting to see and wanted to see last year, tbh.

First step, realizing that the house needs reconstruction and committing to it.

Step 2, demo.

Step 3, rebuild.

I'm anxious to see what this rebuild looks like. It's given me something to hope for because just a few days ago, that was something I didn't have in regards to this team.

I'm not a fan of uncertainty, but I will gladly take that over a mediocre status quo and a trajectory that honestly was pretty underwhelming.

everybody wants to win. Everybody says they want to win. 1 key injury or one bad bounce of the ball or even one bad call by the ref and you lose. Any team can say they don't settle for mediocrity but the truth is most teams would be changing people every 3 years for the exception of a few. I believe in Tepper and what he wants but it's not like business where you have hard facts and rules and move forward. Ask the Saints last year who should have been in the Super Bowl.

Heck, that refs overturns the drop call by Cotchery in the SB and we probably go one to win that game.

Yes, I think it's too early to call Tepper a meddler at this point.  It makes perfect sense for him to put his own coach in place now.  To be fair, a lot of owners probably would not have given Rivera another shot this year after last year's epic collapse.  I know there's a lot of concern about Hurney, but with Tepper bringing in the VP/Asst GM I feel a lot better about this.  I'm just happy we're going in a different direction.  What we were doing wasn't working, so at least now steps are being taken that will hopefully have us trending upward within the next few years.
