Even if you move him where do you go from there?

You've got over a hundred milllion tied up in linebackers on a bottom defense.

Who is going to be the QB? Dont say Kyle Allen.

Yeah... I can't believe we put so much into that position. This franchise can't get out of its own way

We do what the people who are just so, so angry that Cam isn't winning games by himself want and go 0-16 for Trevor Lawrence

Two years left on Luke’s contract. So it’s not really 100 million. But this raises the question if Luke is gonna be given another contract. Next year is when we would start talks about an extension. I know people don’t wanna hear this but we might not extend Luke or he might retire or we might try to trade him. I agree that if we extend Luke that is way too much money to give linebackers.

i really am thinking this might be a total rebuild and we move on from Cam and Luke within these next two year which really sucks and is sad we squandered their talents.

but based on Tepper talking about looking at this from a future perspective it might take 4 or 5 years. That doesn’t seem to include Cam or Luke based on their ages.

He will be 30 in the final year of his contract. I fear 2020 may be it for Luke as a Carolina Panther. Sucks but that's the nature of the NFL. There are few fairy tale endings.

Sounds like an opinion piece.

however on one hand, based on Teppers comments about letting RR go early So everyone knows the Panthers are in the hunt for a HC gives transparency to the NFL. This at least ensures we don’t miss out on interviewing anyone. In Cams situation, it gives all teams interested in Cams services enough time to put together a package to trade for him.

on the other hand, if you weren’t planning to trade Cam, how is he supposed to react going into the season in a contract year?  *spoiler* he would hold out.

    • Many layers my frend- Panthers had a draft recently. They picked 4 defense players. Each player picked 11, 22, 33, 55 as their number. For some players that number match the round or pre-draft round rank, example- Prince was a 3rd rounder and choose 33. Nic was a 1st rounder on some mock drafts and Dan Morgan said they had him as a 1st, he picked 11. Cam Jackson recently switched his number to 55, same as draft and has been telling Dave he wants to be special over and over.  The 44 was to add GOAT feels, thoughts, and more intrigue to this rookie phenomenon. X files was cause it was a great TV show and maybe it was playing when this theory came together.......   I hope this helps!
    • The best things Purdy has are certainly important tools for any QB. His accuracy his timing his decision making etc. I feel like he is a high end Teddy Bridgewater. You can compete and win in the regular season with this especially in a weakened NFC but where his limitations come into focus is when you are trying to contend for a Super Bowl you are going against elite and in some instances generational QB's like Mahomes. And when the time has come for him to go up against Mahomes he simply can't get it done. Now certainly he is not alone in that regard and people will point to another highly regarded QB such as Josh Allen who also cannot get by Mahomes. But the difference I see is Allen is not IMO at a phsyical disadvantage in that matchup whereas Purdy is. And that is with what had been to this point a comically stacked roster around Purdy and let's be clear we cannot understate that regardless of which side of the fence we land on in this debate. Purdy has had a top 5 roster and a top 5 coach. And the last time they went to the Super Bowl they leaned on McCaffrey extremely heavily. Now with what they are having to pay him and divert limited resources elsewhere they face a steep climb to get back to the Super Bowl let alone actually win it.
    • Lonzo mentioned Melo going to the Clippers, but he also said we would draft Dylan Harper and he isn't making it to 4.
