word has it quarterbacks don't get the option to start only home or away games. so might as well see what he's got against a mediocre Indy team... would rather that than the last game of the season, all things considered ...

Well I shouldn’t say awful. I never expected undrafted 20 year old Allen to be anything special. And I am not sure why anyone else did either but regardless he will make a very decent back up. And he’ll have to learn to be OK with that.

I actually would have been okay with Newton being more vocal and/or rough on teammates but it didn't really seem like that was his style.
