Grier confirmed to start Sunday

It's time for his audition. The tape is nonexistent, this game should be all about getting rid of the ball and making not horrible decisions against another not good team. He needs the reps bad because I have a feeling he will be competing for the backup spot next preseason.

Yep, with a new coaching staff and very possibly new GM, it's not a good spot for a late 3rd round QB. The decision makers will have no ties to him and will have made no investment in him. I firmly believe that between Allen and Grier, one of them won't be on the roster next year. Hell, it wouldn't completely shock me if neither are.

I'm wishing Grier nothing but the best this Sunday, but I also hope he plays well in a losing effort.

i wish the kid all the best...we are looking for a diamond in the rough.... wish he was taller...if not he needs scrambling ability... always looking for the hometown boy makes good.

Not sure what's wrong with being 6'2" as a QB.

...i like tall prototypical 6'4-6'6 qb's...just a preference....Delhomme was 6'2...lamar jackson is 6'2....wilson 5'11...just to name a few...they have intangibles that allow them to succeed... i just dont know what that trait would be with Grier...

They all have to have intangibles that allow them to succeed. The list of 1st round busts is littered with prototypical athletes.

Brees, 6'0 if we're being generous.
