Hopefully Grier does well, but I'm not sure this game will answer many questions about his future prospects.

Seems like a low risk decision to go with him at this point.

Bingo. An intangible is an asset or trait that can't be measured. Some call it "awareness" or "anticipation" or "it factor", whatever. There's nothing special about Brady's measurable skill set. Allen got rushed the least of any qb last week and he still sucked.  Blaming the o line is getting old. A good qb can hide many o line deficiencies.

Likely another reason they didn't want to put Grier out there last week.  Cam always said Olsen was like his "spell check" in the huddle, so not having him available last week likely played into their decision to not play Grier.  This FO really wants to give Grier the best possible opportunity to succeed given what we have currently.  Either they see the potential in him, or do not want to admit he may not have warranted a 3rd round pick.  Either way, it doesn't hurt to see what the kid has now that the season is lost, and we need all the info we can on him moving into this offseason.
