If this is rebuilding time, it's probably best to wait until 2021 so you can spread that dead money out and not get smashed next season. Cutting Paradis doesn't really generate much in cap space($1.6 million) because his dead money hit is so big. Same with guys like Short, who only generate $3 mil in cap space with $17.4 mil in dead money.

The biggest two impacts we can make on the cap front would be Cam Newton($2 mil dead money, $19.1 mil in cap space) and Dontari Poe($3.3 mil in dead money, $9.8 mil in cap space). Greg Olsen would free up a chunk of money too.

Oh god yeah no cutting KK.

Paradis would be a lot better if the guys beside him were a lot better. I mean, the guy can't be expected to plug three or four holes in the dam himself, can he?

Remains to be seen. It's really difficult to say if all of our linemen is as bad as they look or are just enough bad to make the whole unit look like poo. They have been so much worse than last year that it is really confusing. I just cannot fathom how they got this bad this quickly.

Part of it is coaching and talent evaluation. I mean, putting Daryl Williams out there repeatedly should have cost a lot of people a job. Another part is effort and talent.

FWIW I think we potentially have a solid trio in Daley, Moton, and Little (if he can stay healthy.)

Turner has regressed a bit. Paradis has been thrown into a fire.

We need help inside more than outside right now, and that might be a silver lining in the long run.

We need to bring in at least two FAs on the OL, and draft another couple. That is for sure.

KK is probably safe until 2022($6.4 mil in dead cap). This depends on the new CBA, obviously. We could cut him in 2021 and spread that hit($11 mil dead cap) over a couple of year, though.

KK should be restructured. Poe will be cut. Olsen is likely gone as well, which will free up more at the cost of a little dead cap.

Hopefully Paradis gets back to 100% next year .. it's a plus he's started all 15 games, hasn't been out with any injuries, with a fully healthy off-season I think he'll be fine next season

What makes you think he was not healthy this year, out of curiosity?

That means it is likely that Love (33 years old now), McCoy, Butler, and Poe could all be gone.
