Brees didn't throw for 312 against us week 12, but he will do it to 1 receiver this time?

To be fair this current form of the Panthers post-Rivera is far worse than the team that played the Saints in Week 12.  Even against the Seahawks, we were down 10-30 at the 5 minute mark.

Thomas definitely ain't going off for 312, but Brees (if he plays the entire game) will almost certainly rip us more than he did last time.

i'm going to say something controversial and extremely brave. michael thomas is good but nowhere near great. he's an illusion because brees spams 5 yard passes to him like 30 times per game. any possession receiver with sure hands would be michael thomas in that offense.

look lol

Im saying he gets 2000 for the season on sunday. Witness history boys

It’s always nice to see a true fan predicting unprecedented success by a division rival against his own team on their own message board. No one predicts a 300 yard receiving game without being deliberately insulting to the defense he faces.

Thomas was putting in work with Bridgewater at QB.  Yes he benefits from the scheme but you still have to be damn good to be as consistent as Thomas is underneath and across the middle.  He isn't just a possession receiver with sure hands.  He's an absolute animal vs the press with arguably the best hands in the league.  There isn't really a good way to defend him.  He's way too good vs the press but if you sag off, he will absolutely eat you alive underneath.

I don't think he's as good as Julio or AB (when on the field), but dude is certainly great.

Michael Thomas is an absolute stud, but he’s more of a move-the-chains / volume / possession guy (not meant to sound like an insult — he’ll be in the HOF one day) than a big-play gamebreaker like Jones. Very much doubt he’ll put up 300+ on the day, especially given he may be sitting at half.

The Huddle has been an anti fan competition as long as I can remember it. I think that's what determines the mods.

Statistically, we're not any worse post-Rivera in passing yardage allowed. We absolutely suck worse in turnovers and rushing yardage allowed, but neither of those areas will benefit Thomas to the tune of 300 yards

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
