I do not remember that because I do not come here to build self-esteem--it is not that important to me. I am probably not going to take advice from you--you should know that.   So talk about Toomers, OK?  I am here to share and learn about coaches, not deal with your issues.

Exactly what I expected.

It could very well be that the person being hired is from the staff of those still in the playoffs   I hope so

However, if McDaniels is the pick, he is the pick.

I am a firm believer in the saying that when people show you who they are, believe them,  the first time   McDaniels has a checkered history.  Coming to Charlotte , he isn’t in title town anymore, he will lose more than he wins, it will be hard, he won’t  have Daddy Bill or  the Pats owner  looking out for  him

who knows, maybe he is the second coming of Bill B or the reprise of what he was in Denver

if he wants to be a HC, the only place he fits is Carolina.  I cannot see him working with Gettleman and Cleveland is as dysfunctional as it gets

I have read that Cleveland is first and Carolina is second, but there are no reasons given.  (I think he grew up near Cleveland, but that would be reason to NOT want to go there--wife from the Cleveland area, so I can joke).   I also hear that they near hired Stef last year and regret it.  I think Stef goes to Cleveland, McDaniels comes to Charlotte.  Not sure how I feel about it either.

To me, we are focused on the person and not the staff each might be able to assemble-another reason to hire as early as possible.  If McDaniels is a jerk, could he get a good staff together?

I think Dallas fits McCarthy better. An established team that just needs someone to put it all together. This is a long term rebuild and younger is better and relates better to the younger generation of players. Don't know who it's gonna be.

100% agree with this take. I think Mike actually might be successful there in Dallas whereas I don't think he was the right guy to be able to build our team.

If I were McCarthy, I would have called Bill Parcells and asked him about working with the Jones clan.  Wonder if he did?

Couple of people have pointed out that Dallas has a "win now" roster whereas we look like we're prepped for a rebuild.

If they can sign Dak, I agree.  However, it's looking like that O Line is starting to weaken/age, and Zeke certainly didn't look as good this year as did years past.

Better built that we are currently.

I think he is probably just happy to have a job. And McCarthy is not acerbic like Parcells, so I don't think he would have the same level of friction.

He went from one team that gets away with holding to another.  Great choice by him.
