Panthers bringing back Obada

Mr. Scot

Good move. Effort player, high motor and getting better. Had him out of position playing 3 tech this year and he struggled holding his ground and taking on double teams. But he deserves a spot on the 90 man roster and another opportunity to compete.

Probably no guarantee he makes the roster and it’ll depend a fair amount on the new coaching staff and defensive scheme, but nice to see him have another shot here this year.

Next head coach won't have any attachment to him.

More moves the incoming HC will be forced to accept.

This is all backwards.  Dont get me wrong, I like Efe.  We just shouldn't be making roster moves with no coaching staff.

Like it was mentioned this is more of a competing for a spot contract. He was 570,000 last year I assume this would be about 750,000. OTC listed his value at 1.2... I hope Hurney didn’t go that high.

Good bottom of roster depth piece but has shown better at DE in 43 looks from what I saw (especially last year).  Being an ERFA, I imagine there is likely no guarantees involved in the contract and it will be worth around 650-700k so I don't see an issue with it.

Allen, Bonnafon and Slye probably won't be too far behind

    • In Bryce’s first year he was awful.  Week three at Seattle they played Dalton and it was a loss but the offense looked night and day different. Like an NFL offense at least. There may have been a small number of times they looked like anything close to that the rest of the year. A second half vs Green Bay if I recall, was his high point. Just not NFL ready.  He has worked his way up from that to 26th best QB or thereabouts, depending on who you ask.  This with no expense spared in the effort to put a team around him.   That is enough for some people to say he has arrived.  Some other people want more. I am with the ‘want more’ crew.
    • Ill go to the first home game for '26, not dealing with Raleigh heat and an 8 hour round trip
