Can't find anybody talking about Kirchner and the Panthers, not even Newton.

Did find this...

The guy never takes responsibility for his bad intel. Never posts a correction or an apology. One Panther Place just issued a tweet thread apologizing for putting out info based on Newton's info. Is that so frackin hard to do?

The way Tepper was talking about Marty eating 100 meatballs and mimicking his voice like a gremlin I don't see how he has so much respect for him but hey I dunno

His Hurney impression was spot on ! I died laughing

Consider that info RETRACTED

This is why we can’t have nice things.

Yeah, look. A lot of folks are taking victory laps when they get things right. That ain’t journalism. But neither is getting stuff wrong. I’ve worked for three different papers since 2003. This is my independent project. I don’t have an intern or desk team. I have three wild kids running around, now with the added bonus of a puppy LOL. The idea here was to retract the reporting. And, most importantly, offer an apology to the subject matter and our readers.

And to you guys, sorry about that. Probably won’t happen again.

This is my independent project. I don’t have an intern or an editorial desk to fix my slop. So the least I can do is take a look at what happened, explain to close why it was, retract the reporting of the report. And, most importantly, offer an apology to the subject matter and our readers.

As I tweeted @ you, thank you for being up front & accepting blame. You have nothing to be sorry for. Other folks on the Panthers beat can’t say the same. Keep up the good work.

I have a lot of very good people to thank for that. Again, I’ll make an occasional mistake, but I’m also going to let my people know that it falls on me. And I don’t really have a problem with Newton, I don’t know the guy at all so I’m assuming he’s a decent enough guy. So, there’s that. Sorry for the diversion
