Just for comparison, here's Denver's list from that Super Bowl:

Todd Davis
Chris Harris (UFA)
Brandon McManus
Von Miller
Corey Nelson (UFA)
Derek Wolfe (UFA)

Yea good point, was going to say something similar in @panther4life post.

It is pretty striking to think about but it really is life in the NFL . Got to catch that lightning in the bottle .

Looking forward to new adventures honestly .

I think it's generally acknowledged that Elway went all in on winning the big game that year.

People thought he was a genius at the time. Opinions on him since then have...mellowed.

I think this just highlights how much the coach matters for teams with long term and consistent success. Roster turnover is inevitable but the guys like B.B,Reid, Caroll, Harbaugh and Payton seem to find a ways to win consistently  regardless.

NFL is a turnover business. Each year close to 40% of the 53 roster has changed in one year. If you take away the ST, its waaaay more. Its also has gotten much younger, just a few years ago 32 was "old" , now 30 is "old". Players and teams are signing fewer 5-10 year contract. Most QBs now want a 3 year deal. Even most of the "big" money contracts given out, the player is cut after two years.

It seems the only way to be stable is find a good QB, thats solves sooooo many problems.
