Not sure exactly what he thought he was accomplishing there. "Don't have guns or the people coming with guns will shoot you!"

Were they just going to sing kumbaya with you and leave you with a few rolls of toilet paper if you were unarmed? LOL!

Post of the day. Kumbaya My Lord, Kumbaya.

It's interesting to me anyone who expresses the desire to use their 2A right if needed in a time of crisis is labeled a 'gun nut'. I hope it doesn't come to it, but if this thing drags out and gets serious enough the tone on firearm owners will quickly switch.

Also interesting how out of touch with reality he is, yet that's the insult he decided to hurtle.

It’s better to be prepared, than left wanting. Especially, if you have children near by. I can’t imagine the horror for them or what they would see if you are not prepared. I was forced to read a book sometime ago that changed my view. “One Second After”. I think everyone should read it, Congress forced all legislators to read it.

Agree. I hope everyone here spends some time preparing in advance. If you are not comfortable with firearms that's more than okay but I hope other precautions are taken.. whether that be extra locks, having an emergency family meet up plan, hell even keeping a baseball bat by the bed. I'm younger but can't recall ever seeing a situation like this.. those who label someone a gun nut because they express the desire to be able to protect themselves and their family need to come to grips that this thing may not blow over and the comforts and protections you've been provided might not be as easily accessible for a little while.

6500 new cases today. If their new cases don't level off over the next 3-4 days, then something is off. Either their testing, their control of the lockdown, or this thing has a lot longer potential incubation period than thought because the math says they should peak  in the next few days.

5560 new cases yesterday. 4789 new cases today. The math seems to be holding up.

I’m afraid they don’t know my perch, and it will be too late when they realize where it’s coming from. BTW I’m not a gun nut, but I made damn sure I had a response to any threat handy. They may get me, but most of them will be sorry, really really sorry. That .50 alone will remove limbs.

You are watching too many movies and TVs dude. If this is, in fact, the end of times, that little arsenal You have isn’t going to save you or your family. My sister in law called us early and told us how her MIL is freaking out and told them to buy guns because people are going to “pillage” their house for supplies. I kid you not she actually used the word “pillage”.

I’m not watching too many movies. I can die standing there looking like willie lump lump, or die taking a few of them out, and try to save my family or buy them time to flee. I’ll take the latter.

Like I said man if this is the end of civilization, that glock or rifle you have isn’t going to save you. What do you think is going to happen? You are going to fight off hordes of raiders with a glock and then build some sort of fortress and restart humanity like a super hero? The truth of the matter is you are probably better off using your pistol on yourself than carrying it around like Mad Max.

Take who out exactly?

Those trying to pillage. I’m not sure of your argument? No one is advocating violence, I’m simply stating that I am prepared if the worst happens. Your right, I’m probably dead either way, but at least I can go on my own terms, not standing there looking at my wife or little girl and saying Daddy’s sorry I couldn’t do anything for us.
