Or they’re going to give a 43 year old nearly 50% more than we give a 27 year old...

We'll probably end up paying more money to our TB than they do theirs. Brady is only on a one year deal. Bridgewater is on a three year deal. I just hope like hell there's an out after year two, if not year one.

Expectation is 2 years and Brady has said repeatedly he wants to play until he’s 45 (which would actually be 3 more seasons). I’d be shocked if Tampa had any outs in this contract, Brady had a ton of leverage. I’d also be shocked if Teddy has any guaranteed money past year 2. But we’ll see the details when they come out. The average per year is in our favor, without a doubt.

Twitter rumblings have Patriots about to make a trade with Jacksonville for Foles.

Good I hate the Pats rather they get that scrub than Cam. Hope Cam goes to Chargers, a team I’m fine with and in the AFC. I’m okay with Bears too but prefer AFC. I’d love love love to see him in Vegas with Gruden but doubt that’s happening with Mariota signed and Carr there being praised by them daily.

Well, I mean they have Tom Brady and we have Teddy Bridgewater. The average our year had better be in our favor.

Forget the names for a second and look at how they played last year. Brady was horrible and will only get worse at age 43 and beyond. Bucs aren’t going to win a SB with him, I can guarantee that, and it’ll only hurt them in the future beyond Beady’s time there.

As of now we are just getting a 4th. May get 6 and 7 from GVR and Irvin.

We aren't winning a SB with Bridgewater either. Honestly, all he might do is win just enough games to keep us from landing a Lawrence or Fields next year

I don’t disagree but it’s not clear we plan on him being the franchise QB. Who was the first person Mahomes gave credit to after Reid for the SB win? A guy not even on the roster... Alex Smith. There is value in having someone like that to help mentor and develop a young QB (very possible 1 drafted this year, but if not next year). And Teddy is the perfect QB to mentor and lead a young QB and other young players and show them how it’s done. He’s a 100% team guy with all the character in the world and fits the role as well as anyone. The money we gave him clearly indicates bridge QB, not franchise QB. Let’s see what happens.

Rams are looking to trade Gurley.

Seems like everywhere you look teams are trying to shed big money contracts for running backs.

Anyone in a hurry to give McCaffrey a blank check is living in a fantasy world that likely won't involve much winning.

To be fair there are not many backs like CMC who can double as an elite slot receiver. I would give him the money and build an offense around him. He is basically two players in one and you can line him up in multiple spots.

    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
