Tepper lost all credibility when retaining Hurney as GM

Like what? Serious question, other than mishandling the Cam narrative, what bone headed decisions have they made so far? We haven't seen them field a practice, haven't seen how they conduct a draft. All they've done so far is make some moderate FA acquisitions, and let a bunch of the old guard from the prior regime walk. I agree with RR and Jeremy's take that Hurney is here as a scapegoat. I don't see what all of the fuss is about thus far.

For one, it's difficult to tell exactly what we're trying to accomplish. Are we trying build a team that can win now or are we just treading water? Why trade for a guy like Russell Okung or sign someone like Teddy Bridgewater, for example, if your primary focus is on the future?

Also, as has been discussed elsewhere, little attention seems to be being paid to the comp pick formula. That's different from past offseasons. As St Bugs pointed out, a guy like Seth Roberts likely could have been signed anytime. Had it been done later, it wouldn't have affected the formula.

And to be clear, we're not the only ones discussing it. Will Brinson, among others, has commented that the Panthers moves look somewhat scattershot, as if it's hard to detect what they're aiming for.

And the handling of Newton? Oy.

Granted, the whole "Marty as scapegoat" thing is very possible. And I'm not complaining about that if it's the case.

But terms like "rudderless" and "directionless" have been used a couple of times to describe the Panthers off season to date, and not just by fans.

I doubt Rhule is negotiating and backloading the contracts.  Hurney should stay TF away from the cap.

Hurney isn't managing the cap either. They hired a capologist to do that. I guess you either don't keep up with the team or just like to blame Hurney for everything.

I. Can't. Breath!.  You nailed it.

I needed this laugh brother, can't pie you enough.

I think I needed to turn to laughter because the other feelings just fall short at this point. Please feel free to reciprocate in the upcoming unspecified time period.
