The dumbest comparison in the history of the Huddle, congratulations!

You guys keep saying it is a dump comp but don't give a reason why. Just pull up some of their game footage and you will see their footwork to the offense they run is very similar. Biggest difference is Howell is a freshman and Greir was a senior.

Howell started as a true freshman and had arguably the best passing season in the history of the NCAA. Grier didn't even start as a redshirt freshman, got busted for PED's and transferred because he never was going to start again. That's the difference, nothing in their play isn't close to similar.

Once again you failed to mention anything about actual football, and I already mentioned a freshman Howell vs a senior Greir. I'm just going to take a guess that you and @4Cornersare UNC homers.

61.4% completion - 3,641 - 38td / 7int

67.0% completion - 3,864 37td / 8int

Even their passing stats were incredibly similar.

I also already stated I am comparing a freshman to a senior. Howell obviously has a much higher ceiling.

I don't give a fug about college football. I only pay attention to see future NFL prospects.

Maybe you should change your username to oxymoron?

I'm still waiting for you to explain why my comp is so outrageous.

You're acting like Grier was hot trash as a QB his senior year. The guy was 4th in Heisman voting that year ffs.

Spoken like a true homer. Howell didn't even sniff the Heisman.

Also if you weren't too fuging dense to realize the comp to Grier is actually a compliment to a freshman QB.

Yeah he pretty much was, that's why lasted to the third round and continued said hotness sitting behind an UDFA.

Yup, you get to 4th in Hiesman voting by not playing well. That kind of football analysis must be why you still can’t defend Howell and actually explain why the Grier comp is inaccurate.

Prove your point or stfu

Tell me who the sure thing QB is this year. Also, what savvy vets are going to win us games with Grier starting?

Will Grier would be more fun to watch but if we don't draft a starter at QB you know it's Mr.14 touchdowns.

The question is can any of the top four QBs in the draft give us a better chance than those two.

IMO all four of those guys provide us more upside than Will or Teddy. Like I've said, doesn't need to be Cam, needs to be a little bit better than Jake and we're good to go.

You are thinking one year at a time. We needed to gut and rebuild not worry about if we can do better than Grier (ball boy would be better) and Teddy. Why not try to get someone you think can win you a Super Bowl? Burrow is off the table. Do you think Herbert, Love and Tua are SB QBs? I don’t although Tua might be just a huge risk on health. Do I think Lawrence and Fields can? More than those 3, yes. That’s why I wanted a full rebuild, let Grier get us to the promised land.

There are many roads. Other than Jake or Cam journeyman QB have come and gone leaving us some of the most hopeless bang your head on a wall football. There is nothing for a franchise like drafting a franchise QB. We learned that on Cams journey. Much rather take that chance than watching journeyman QBs for years to come while they figure out, duh, need a real QB.

Nothing in football is more interesting than your starting QB. 14 touchdowns is pedestrian and doesn't capture the interest of a new young hotshot. Herbert, Love, Tua, Burrow all have the ability and we have this Joe Brady guy who's claim to fame is developing Joe Burrow. Why did we hire him? To coach Teddy B? No. To develope a young QB and it's probably not Will Grier.

Those top prospects give you a chance at greatness no less diminished by the next crop coming in next year. People that needed a Mahommes passed on Mahommes. Big mistake.

If Panthers want to tank for a future QB - start tanking for Sam Howell. It won’t surprise me to see him win multiples MVPs and Super Bowls once he is the league. Kid is a superstar.

I like Sam Howell and love UNC but this is ridiculous
