Who has the worst draft so far?

Id like to add the Ronskins to this list. My dog could could have made the Young pick and hes dead. After that, what a sad sad bunch. Glad Ron is not here giving 2020 draft advice to Marty. Hes just like BoB = a GM and a bad one.

Plus that was a weak-ass haul for Trent Williams, one of the top five LT in the game. Dont care about viking, you must do better.

Packers and Chargers really taking the cake here.

Not overly crazy about what the Jags have done.

If Herbert pans out, Chargers will have an A+ draft. Murray will be playing in the league for a long time.

Eh kind of hard to have a strong take (in either direction) this early, since college players are such an unknown quantity on the whole. That said, could make the case for Packers or Eagles given they drafted guys early who will sit for a long time behind studs (in Rodgers and Wentz) who are known quantities.

Has to be Green Bay. Took Love when Rodgers is under contract for 4 more years and then took AJ Dillon who's probably not going to see any snaps behind Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams.

This.

not even close.

Their first 2 picks secured them the worst draft

Green Bay and New Orleans.  Green Bay gets basically nothing to help Rogers this year and NO picks a good center after they drafted a good center last year.  Then they get a pass rusher who is pretty good a TE when this is the worst TE draft in years and sit out the 3rd day.  They didn't need a lot and they didn't get a lot, or anything really.

Green Bay, Atlanta, and Detroit

Washington almost made the too 3, besides Young they were very mediocre, then that terrible return on William's caped off a bad draft for them. I also see they didn't go after very many UDFA.

I have never liked Marty Hurney, but was Ron a bigger problem?  Hurney and Rhule knocked this draft out of the park, and were aggressive with UDFA, very different than what Panthers fans are used to. However, the Redskins just pulled a Panthers draft. A stud in the 1st, and mediocre after that. Then not very many UDFA signings.

Ruiz will play guard. Remember that Payton loves the bigger guards inside for Brees. Seems like the pick was a knee jerk reaction to us picking Derrick Brown. Payton was probably afraid for Brees’ life.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
