2021 mock draft

I honesty think detroit has a solid team, they had some loses that were coin flips against some solid teams last year, and they only got better. I really think the QB at Jacksonville is solid and they'll be okay. I just don't see a team worse than us after we lost our best player on defense and our best CB. Rookies almost always take some time to develop, idc how good they are ala McCaffrey, Luke Keuckly etc etc.

I do think that Detroit will be better than us. They made some good moves. Jacksonville will be pretty bad. Minshew is overrated as hell. Trade Fournette and Yannick and they will be bad bad. We should’ve signed Joe Schobert. Washington is one team that could be terribly bad if qb play suck.

I don't think Minshew is good or anything, but I think he's better than what we got. Also, they haven't traded either of those two players yet so let that happen first before something happens. I actually think Washington will be a 6+ win team.

A little too early to start that discussion.

What about players that weren't drafted that still could add value to the team?  Many have already been signed UFA.  But, How about this guy?

Nick Coe, DE,

Lot of talent, but had some personal problems at Auburn. Worth a shot though.

My family who never watches football, saw him in the iron bowl. And despite standing next to derrick brown and marlon, my aunt was like who is that guy?!?! Hes got the phyiscal tools for sure.

Well if we play all the rookies to get them all experience,..and Rhule keeps up his past records then we should win 2 games...

that puts us in contention. The Redskins, Jags, Colts I think are our “competition” ha.

I think the skins have some talent and RR will get to 8 wins.  Damn chase young on that defense is going to be really good.  The colts have a good roster and rivers is still capable.  The jags will def suck though

    • not sure if any of this is news, but a good summary of our situation heading into training camp.  It's sure gonna be good getting Derrick back. After missing virtually all of the 2024 season, Panthers defensive tackle Derrick Brown is aiming for a full return to the field during training camp later this summer, per Joseph Person of The Athletic. Brown tore his meniscus in Week 1 and underwent season-ending surgery that has kept him limited through spring practices, though he did participate in “walk-throughs and light side work” during mandatory minicamp, according to Person. Brown originally stated a desire to be ready for the 2025 regular season, but his timeline appears to have moved up. Brown’s injury was particularly disappointing after a career-best 2023 season. He led all defensive linemen with 103 total tackles and was named to his first Pro Bowl, earning him a four-year, $96MM extension from the Panthers in April 2024. While he has never been a prolific pass rusher, Brown’s size and power has consistently commanded double-teams and created opportunities for his teammates. His impact was evident last season, as Carolina’s run defense ranked dead-last in his absence. The Panthers spent significant resources this offseason on defensive line depth, which should allow them to manage Brown’s usage more carefully coming off a major injury. He played a whopping 940 defensive snaps in 2023 (89% of the team’s total) and was on the field for almost every play before his injury last year. With new teammates Tershawn Wharton, Bobby Brown III, and Cam Jackson ready to share the load, Derrick Brown can take a lower snap share to stay fresh and healthy for the entire season. • Yeah it's kind of like they don't want him on the team anymore for some reason
