we don’t know what his options were, but i can’t see sitting on the bench in dallas being better than starting in NE. guess the Pats weren’t interested after all. he must not have had much in the hopper to take this.

Nah, they should trade multiple firsts and a player.  You not been around here for awhile?  EVERY team in the league except about 4, would make that trade.  But I digress, a couple of months

seems like he had other offers but wanted to be in Dallas so he took probably a smaller deal for a years work then will look for starting jobs next year

It’s almost as if we jumped into a market all by ourselves and outbid everyone. Bridge QBs sign for $1M, $7M and unsigned and we pay $21M for 3 years. Heck, we also cornered a weak WR market before the deepest WR draft in history. We seem to mistime everything. We jump through hoops to take a sucky tackle at 37 last year instead of stud C/Gs like McCoy and Jenkins and not waste pick 77 when the same or better prospect Josh Jones goes at 72 this year’s deep T draft.

I liked this year’s draft but there’s a reason why we need a new GM. He sucks at timing and value, especially in FA.
