As opposed to winning every time in the playoffs like we have been doing? The Saints actually won a Super Bowl and have been a perennial powerhouse for much of the past decade, so yeah what they’re doing is working much better.

When have they gotten back to the SuperBowl?

A lot of flash and hype and they end up duds. I'll take our success and two SB trips any day.

Sean Payton has yet to prove that he can get back to the big game. And yeah, our franchise has been to the pinnacle twice.

I didnt want to mention Katrina but yeah, NFL loves a good storyline.

fired a horrible coach, set the process in motion to upgrade facilities and infrastructure,  hired a well thought of head coach and OC.   I could go on but its your turn

Fired a good HC that thinks mediocrely. Then hires a HC from college who has not prove that he can win in the NFL to a $60 m contract. Was successful in bringing a MLS soccer team during our terrible season. Cut Cam Newton’s 19m contract and then give a mediocre game manager Teddy Bridgewater more. Has 12 wins in two seasons as the owner and seen zero playoff game. Helped made Panthers fans not have to sit all night waiting for the Panthers pick in the last two drafts.

Oh, you are still mad about cam.  Got it.   Spoiler alert, he still hasnt signed with another team.  Maybe there is something more going on with him than you care to acknowledge

I was one of the few guys that biatch and cried on here about not wanting Cam back. But cutting Cam and signing Teddy is just insanely stupid.

I said 6 wins several weeks back.  Will stick to it.  We will pick around 10th.

Between Rhules motivation(which remains to be seen in the NFL level), the WR's mentioned, the Oline changes, and the emphasis on D, the Panthers could actually surprise us all.  Teddy can run Bradys offense much better for the same price tag that Cam could, so they go with a guy with a bad knee, but healthy shoulder.  The NFC South could be a major struggle for us, but we could beat Atlanta once or even twice.  Early season will be filled with mistakes, but enthusiastic ones.  As long as I don't hope for anything, will be fun to watch.

offense got better, defense got worse

an injury to either, especially the offense, and were 100% in the running for lawrence. were already in contention for fields

i love this team but its going to be another offseason or two before were really dangerous

The games against Chicago and Detroit will be the only games we win.

lol this defense littered with rookies and JAGs against matthew stafford? we'd get absolutely shredded unless stafford gets hurt again.

    • Who gives a crap what our ranking is in July. Now December that is different. Makes for great locker room material for Canales to use to prove em wrong
    • I wouldn't mind a deal that would add Rust or Rakell from the Pens. Move Jarvy to 2C, send KK and a prospect to Pittsbhrgh. Pittsburgh is taking calls for both. And both of them have played very well against Carolina.
    • I liked James on a personal level. I still do. But he had his flaws too and what's done is done. Charles Lee will get this season to showcase what he's building. If he and the team look like poo he should be on a very hot seat. But I don’t expect that to happen. I could be wrong. But I'd rather not be in this instance. Regardless. At some point we're going to be lucky to hire anyone worth a damn if we keep firing coaches. It's not something any of us should want to see because it's only going to mean yet another reset. Best case scenario is Lee with this infusion of youth establishes a refreshing culture change. We'll see.
