Does anyone find it hard to dislike the Saints?

Even though they're supposed to be division rivals, they've always seemed like the little brother of the NFC South. The JV. The "I'm just glad to be here" team. I mean, when you go into their house and kick their ass so many times in a row, no matter how bad the Panthers are, no matter if it's Jake Delhomme or David Carr starting, it just doesn't feel like a rivalry to me.

Even though the Saints are probably the best team in the NFL this year and we've looked so horrible for so much of this season, it wouldn't surprise me if we went into New Orleans and beat them yet again. It's almost like a psychological thing for the Saints at this point.

They've been around for how long and still haven't made it to a single Super Bowl? I mean, how can you not almost pity them at this point?

I definately don't hate them like I do the Falcons or Bucs. Let them enjoy there little streak b/c we all know someone will end it....we also know they ain't gonna do anything this year b/c they are and will always be the Aints. You can put a dress on a pig and it is still a pig. The Saints can start of 7-0 but they are still the Aints.

division rivals.

media has been slobbering all over them for several years.

lots of bandwagon fans (many of whom were vick fans who jumped the falcon bandwagon when he got locked up).

played the role of spoiler too many times for us.

I have a strong dislike for the Saints. Nothing on the border line hate(which is a very strong word) I have for the Falcons. But I think it's more having to do with your individual situations. For instance , since I live in ATL, I have developed a stronger hate for the falcons than before I lived here. I have a friend who works with a bunch of saints fans and his hatred of the saints was at the point where I thought he might have caused Katrina. That in no way affects my personal feeling toward each of the cities. I love both NO and ATL. I didn't like Tampa being division rivals but had no real problems toward them until Lone Buc Fan showed up. Now I wish them misery upon no end.

That being said, nothing would make me happier than destroying all this undefeated season crap coming from the Saints fans. It makes me even happier that it would be caused by a "inferior" team like the Panthers, without a "legitimate" NFL QB. Destroying their run defense would be nice, but showing up their pass defense at the same time.....football orgasm.

I agree about the hype that they routinely get. Why do you think that is? They've never done anything, they don't have a big fanbase...why the media hype over the past few years? I know Katrina started it, but that's faded away by now. And then Reggie Bush gave it another shot in the arm, but he's done nothing like what was expected of him.

Y'all are starting to sound like the Fail-cons. never had I see on a forum the massive use of the word Hate as when I visited the Fail-cons to wish them a good and safe game. OMG, it was a like I insulted their mommies. Now I see y'all spouting out hatred like yesterday's dinner. What's with the all this htae in the league? It's only a fr'kin' game folks. Try to enjoy something without hatred being involved. You might actually enjoy it more that way. I know I do.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
