Ok.

So when you go to your Grandmother's house for dinner do you wear your hat at the table?

So if your at home and the anthem is playing on your tv, do you stand and take your hat off?

The best thing that could be done by Reid and Kapernick is to understand the power of voting , explain to those who don’t understand the power or  don’t care, and help get people registered

voting in local, state and federal is crucial for everyone  but more so for those under represented as That’s where the judges come from and I just don’t think a lot of these younger People get that concept

In the state of NC, people were put  in office by people not turning out to vote in 2012 and 2016 who gerrymandered districts to negate black vote   I’m sure everyone has heard about the court cases in the news

my issue with Kapernick. He doesn’t vote and said he saw no value to it. That is a sad statement.   Hopefully people like Sharpton meant what he said  At the funeral  about getting the vote out and or putting forth candidates

Yes.  I also take my hat off in church, at the dinner table, etc...generally speaking once indoors it comes off -- it's the polite thing to do.

If you both familiarize yourself with the concept of decorum I promise you life will go a lot better, pulling for you too fella.

My life is fine, probably because im not worried about people wearing hats

Equating "decorum" to wearing a hat is possibly the dumbest thing I have heard in this forum.

Go figure it comes from the goof who ends all his posts with some forced cornball catch phrase.

He probably reminisces about the good old days when women were in the kitchen and water fountains were segregated.

Actually, the political route has its advantages and disadvantages.

There have been racial issues for 70 years through all sorts of Dems and Pub admins.  Most of the time, after the vote, people are forgotten for at least 2 years, if not 4.  Lots of what you see now is not genuine but because it is an election year.

The apathy is largely our fault, however. We continue to get shitbags because we allow shitbags to rise to power. It's easy to say the political parties serve us turds but both parties have primaries at all levels. We just stay out of it and let the party zealots get their way. Hell, in NC you can vote in either primary if you aren't registered as either of the two parties.

But we not only let the P'sOS in but we let them get re-elected over and over. And I say this as someone who had been so disgusted with some of the candidates that I avoided voting. But that isn't the answer. Getting more involved and not less involved is the answer.

This government exists because we allow it. You don't like the current Senator? Vote them out. You don't like the next one? Vote them out. We may not have term limits yet but we sure as hell can make our own.

Coded language is your crutch, not mine.

LOl, coming from someone that originally said as much.  Your average person doesn't use such phrases, FYI.  Tell me on a given day on often the term 'dog whistle' comes up?  Maybe if you are taking your family pet to get trained, otherwise it is only used exactly how you meant to use it.
