Helping out with my mom, who just got out of hospital recovering from Covid. She lives west of Asheville. 

She’s got a good bit of meds so when she told me she felt an earthquake this morning, I thought maybe I might try some of those drugs. Then I saw online where there really was an earthquake, so I’ll see if I can find some smart pills instead.

Slept through it but my daughter burst into the  bedroom, waking me and my wife saying "Did you feel it? Did you feel it?" Of course having been married for 25+ years, my wife and I were.... sleeping. 

My daughter had to hold her PC monitors to keep them from falling over on her desk.

Turns out there was some significant damage in the Sparta area.  Cracked foundations and broken glass mostly.
