The quest for 0-16 continues next week as we face off against the Chargers. Looks like they'll be starting Herbert and so far he's doing pretty well. Their defense has done well against Mahommes too. I am still a bit worried we might fug around and win this one though.

I sincerely think you don’t need to worry about the Panthers winning a game

Much like most things you remember, that didn’t happen.

What are you talking about? You don’t know me, piss off. Maybe it was Hurney that put Butker on the PS I could be wrong, but Gettleman drafted him. No one released him so why does it matter? Get the F outta here with that bullish!t.

Though it is an unpopular opinion around here, not everything should be blamed on Hurney. The guy has made tons of mistakes, as most GM’s do, but trying to hide a kicker that you did not draft on the PS shouldn’t be one of them.

Tell me something ole Pal, who set the 53 Rivera, Gettleman, or Hurney? So who deserves the blame again?

Well you were “offended” that the roster was called “average and pedestrian”. Which was laughable then and being proven by the game as way above reality.

How about Tua being a dual threat QB. And Joe Burrow strictly a pocket passer. Despite everything available proving otherwise. Stats and eyeballs. And claiming you were a coach(LOL) to boot.

Should I continue. I’m sure there is more but this proves my point well enough.

And who set what 53? If you mean 2017, it was Hurney. Who are you trying to falsely blame again?

Butker was drafted by Gettleman in April of 2017.

Jerry Richardson fired Gettleman in July prior to the 2017 training camp. Hurney became "interim" GM.

The decision to keep Gano over Butker came from Hurney and Rivera.

I am not offended about whether we suit up a quality team, I am offended that folks think we have a bottom 5 roster, and that is clearly not the case. Tua is an opinion, and that is my opinion. I dont even remember talking about Burrow, but I could have at some point. If you feel the need to continue by all means necessary feel free. You still don't know me, if you have a problem, message me we can meet and settle it. This a fan site, not sure where you fall on the radar but calling out other huddlers is ridiculous. Get a life, kid.

Thats lol funny.  I mean Eddie Murphy Delirious level stuff.  We might have the worst and shallowest roster in the league.

Please explain how that is CLEARLY not the case.

And they were your flawed(and it was proven) opinions. Then you claimed, laughably, you were a football coach.

And anywhere, anytime. If you feel the need to take it in that direction, I’ll meet you anywhere. But calling people out to “meet” is ridiculous. That’s sad. And I’m quite positive I’m older than you. Come find out.

    • The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
    • These Spurs are lowkey loaded.  If healthy, they could win it all this year (#2 in the West right now). I still think we’ve gotta keep Kalk on Wemby; he’s not getting completely dominated like every other NBA center.
    • Am I the only one who doesn't understand this fan bases infatuation with adding a high end TE? Especially when we have some bigger bodies in T-Mac and Coker who can slide into the slot at times and provide the big dependable target over the middle that most teams use their TE for. I mean, sure, it would be nice to have one of those elite TE's, but I feel like that's a position your better off going cheap with a committee who each bring something different to the table while spending our cap room on the more important positions. I like the potential we saw from Evans this year, Sanders could be a best if he can stay healthy, and Tremble has improved as well.  Just feels like spending high draft picks or cap space on other needs and more important positions is a better use of our resources than splashing on a TE in the draft or FA. Are those guys on the level of the Bowers or McBride's of the world?  Of course not, but we also are paying a fraction of the cost on our TE room than they are, and we're able to use that money for other needs.
