They always find a way. Panthers fans have thought time and time again that this is the year they're going to have to pay the Piper but they always find a way.

They have never been 80 million over the cap, the cap has also has never been dramatically less than anticipated..... Kick the can is all they have done, I'm surprised you don't remeber kick the can is what got hurndog fired the first time... converting base salaries to pro rated bonuses ect....

Sometimes I wonder if the years of concussions or "supplements" some athletes take just makes them frikkin' lose their minds. Sometimes you hear these crazy a$$ stories about what they say or what they do and you're like, "Nah, can't be."

Then the next thing you hear they've gone completely off their rockers.

It's got to be worrying someone out there.

The Athletic had an article about this today.  The fine wasn't about the fight.  The coaches. including Patyon,  tried to talk to him, and he yelled at them.  Other players talked to him, including Brees, but apparently same result.  The fine was to warn him not to disrespect the coaches.

His tweets, both today and in the past, aren't exactly encouraging.  Turns out this has been going on for a while, and a close teammate told the coaches before the season they needed to get him in line.  There is a problem, and how he responds over the next couple of weeks is going to tell what happens.

Hard to believe, but there are plenty on the Saints board who have no problem with getting rid of him.

They're a lot better at cap management than Hurney and they've proven it time and time again. They'll figure it out. They always do.

I don't know what it is about the WR position, but damn if it hasn't always had far more than it's fair share of divas.

They are the largest % over the cap than any team if NFL history we will see you are highly overating there fiscal capacity IMO.... there almost as good as congress at kicking the can.

One of their reporters wrote an article before the season that showed how easily they can get back down under the cap next year.  They wouldn't have signed who they did if they didn't have a plan.  They'll let some players go, and they won't be a huge player in free agency, but don't think they don't know what they're doing.
