Why the fug do people fixate so much on "being a Pittsburgh/Pennsylvania native?" I would sincerely hope that isn't in Tepper's calculus for choosing any candidate, otherwise he is kind of an idiot.

More like suggesting that while there is no obvious connection, perhaps the fact that this guy is from Pennsylvania and involved in the NFL, Tepper knows him. It's a hopeful reach.

I think people are making what is likely an erroneous assumption that because he's from that area and his first HC hire happened to be as well, that he has some sort of heavy bias towards hiring people with that connection. I doubt if you look through his hires as a boss/owner overall across multiple businesses, that you would find such a pattern, but fans aren't interested in looking at overall, just the one most visible to them.

Pass. If you look at the Ravens roster, most of the impact players weren’t drafted by the ravens. The team has not been to the AFC championship game in almost a decade. 

they actually draft similarly to us. They have that 1 or 2 good pick(s) in a draft and the rest become practice squaders or FAs.
