What's the highest or lowest we can draft after tomorrow?

I think there is a good chance we win on Sunday. Depending on how aggressive Snow is going to be. If you can't impact Brees throw he will pick apart a zone but without Kanata his weapons will be limited.

oh we're totally winning now, we're fuged

I don't mind winning on Sunday. There isn't much difference in the 3-15 picks I have found. You will find talent if you have a decent  GM. 2014 is a decent example of this. If you picked between #5 and #21 you got a baller with few exceptions. If you go backwards through the draft you see this pattern often.

And it looks like there will be a QB available around #10. Doesn't mean we can't find a way to screw it up.

I'll be glad when it is over no matter what it is.   Tired of hearing the whiners crying about winning a game.  Than we can focus on what will be available at whatever position we end up with.

I hope we play well and N.O. is at full strength and we kick their ass.  I will enjoy the meltdown in this forum.

Can't just hit pause, and draft multiple years without playing games. This isn't fantasy football.

So stop whining that games need to be played. As long as games need to be played, winning is the only goal.

You’re right. It’s on Teddy B, much better than those 3. Your takes are ass. Just like your CFB team.

You throw darts against your bedroom door to let off steam, don’t you?

I think somebody needs to get outside and get some fresh air. Sheesh...

I think the likeliest outcome is 1-2 spots gained. It’s probable that 1 or 2 of Atlanta, Philly, Dallas, Detroit and Cincy pull the upsets. I don’t even want to think about us winning. To go from Lawrence, Fields or Sewell to pick 13 after being eliminated would put a cherry on top of wasting enough cap to lose a few of our young stars over the next few years of the rebuild.

I hope you’re right.

I just do not for the life of me understand how you sit your best player the entire season for some relatively minor (end of season) injuries and then claim you’re “trying to win.” No you’re not? And frankly you shouldn’t be sold out on winning. You should be sold out on trying to develop football players and play good football but you can do that and not be sold out on winning the game. If you can sit CMC then why not sit Shaq? Burns? DJ? I’m sure those guys are banged up too.

CMC sat bc they know his value is beyond this year bc it was clear by mid season CAR wasn’t going to the playoffs. So why make him take the RB punishment? So do what’s in the best interest of this franchise and put some guys out there you want to develop.....and lose to the Saints. Then go get the future of this franchise. Bc it’s not Bridgewater.

I don't disagree that you can find talent anywhere from 3-15 but moving from pick #4 to pick #9 is a huge loss of draft capital now matter how you slice or dice it. Further it makes it much harder to trade up to get "your guy" and as it is well studied the ONLY time it's a good idea to trade up is to get a franchise QB

Exactly. There are busts everywhere but having a better pick helps to avoid that. Every draft has quirks because teams jump at QBs or make bad picks, look at Burns’ draft. No one in here thought we’d get him at 16 but then again we didn’t expect Ferrell at 4 or Haskins, Jones and Lindstrom to go earlier either. Lots of bad picks. We should be able to get a good player but we’ll have less chance and people forget there are 7 rounds. Look what we did to ourselves in that same draft because we didn’t have an early 2nd. We threw away pick 77 where there were multiple good players we’d had in for visits. An early 2nd round pick is a great spot because you can easily jump to the end of the first or get one of the handful of players who somehow drop out of the 1st.

It just makes drafting your guys easier without trading up. People bring up Herbert instead of Brown if we had a higher pick. It’s a great example of being able to go QB or DT instead of settling.

We need to catch a break and get a QB. We can’t just assume we can get a Wilson in the 3rd or Brady in the 6th as it was posted recently. Those are winning the lottery picks. Having the 3rd pick in this draft after last night sure seems like it would have been phenomenal. Oh no, we get a stud LT like everyone and their mom’s have wanted for years. Amazing how the same people who said Sewell over Wilson or Lance also chide people who wanted a better pick. He was right there for you.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
