He can play both.  He'll play a lot more DE though, assuming we're running 4-man fronts.  And he'll play some DT on passing downs.

If you want a solid comparison, do you remember Tyler Brayton?  Think him.  That is his prototype and that is the role he'll play.  A strong-nosed DE who is an effective pass rusher, especially when you slide him inside.  

Brayton was so underrated during his time here.  Very good player in 2008 and 2009 at what we asked him to do.
