Considering the cost if I am the Jets or Miami I don't pay that price for Watson.  I just don’t.  They spent multiple years getting all these picks to trade them away?  I like Watson but I am not taking on his contract and giving away the farm at this point.  The Jets can just take Wilson and Miami is in a great position with all these picks.  Both teams can have QBs on rookie deals and they are taking on that contract and losing all those picks?  Naw.

It's exactly what the fans on here want the Panthers to do.   But in our case it's all our future picks and more.

these trade talks are just that. they carry a narrative for the media to follow during the slow months. Same reason Kaeperneck comes up every single fuging preseason and then is immediately forgotten about. Wilson and Watson are staying put but putting their teams on notice. Rodgers wanted out for a week too. Now for some reason the media thinks resigning a running back puts them over the top and improves the team.

    • Who were we going to trade up with? The Dolphins wanted Proctor, the Rams were vehement on taking Ty Simpson, the Ravens wanted Ioane, and the Bucs werent trading with us except for maybe a kings ransom. Even if we wanted to move, we had no partner. Moot point.
    • Devin Lloyd is a stud lb but who is next to him? Prince and Nic should improve. Lee was super value but i am not counting this fourth round chicken yet. I would expect some improvement; hope to eat my words w/ a top ten D.
    • I mean I agree about diminished Cam probably still being viable. Even though it gave a preview of how teams would defend the pass against a limited QB. There was an issue with the upcoming contract he was due to get and his expectations vs the new reality of his physical status - that people tend to  overlook when looking back on it  It had an effect on things I believe   But I do have to ask… what about Tepper’s second major move? fuging clueless   I mean I would take even an injured  Cam over Bryce all day long.
