How long was he the coach with him for?

Just the one season. They fired their head coach at the end of that year and replaced him with John Fox. Meyer moved on to the Bills for two years before joining the Chargers.

YES!! After watching this and some of his film, this guy has great character, seems like a pro's pro! Would be a fantastic locker room presence and leader. Fitt and Rhule should take a serious look at this guy!

Competition is always good. For cheap and short terms deal, not sure anyone would have an issue with that.

That said I could live without it.

I truly believe the oline is the only thing holding the team back given Darnold plays at least a notch above Teddy. And if the oline doesn’t get better history shows playoffs are a no go no matter what the rest of the team does.

    • Cam had his moments for me like celebrating a 1st down when we were down big, but overall, dude was a big kid playing the game he loved. He made the game fun for fans and engaging. He was great for fans, and probably for bringing in new young fans, but not enough old fans with $$$ and instead of embracing change they stuck with Sid and his old balls.
    • Most of our success vs Dallas has come in big games. Playoffs and the destruction Luke brought down on them in that Thanksgiving game.    Seems like in regular season stuff they own us. I don’t know if the past affects Sunday, just saying. And we haven’t laid an egg at home yet this year, this is an opportunity for that.    I would love to see the opposite happen, and it could. It isn’t last year. I am stuck in the middle and have no clue what is going to transpire.
