C.j. Mosely...

Concerns me,...the guy barely played in 2019, opt out 2020, back stronger and leaner, and has a HC with defense in mind. He's practiced against Darnold, so he's familiar with Darnold's strengths and weaknesses, he's calling the defense today.

Since we're on the topic of Zach Wilson and how he'll turn out...  I thought I'd share this clip of Ryan Leaf's take from a few weeks ago.  He was filling in for Rich Eisen (who is a Jets fan if you don't know).  I really enjoyed listening to his perspective.

I'm sure Rich Eisen was seething while listening to Ryan speak facts.   LOL

I know, right?

Plus...CJ may be familiar with Sam but he's not familiar with the rest of the Panthers (aside from Anderson) so how's *that* going to help him?  roflmao!

    • Joe Person   @josephperson · 16m     Panthers become the 1st team this yr with 5 weekly winners: Rico Dowdle, Ryan Fitzgerald, Sam Martin, Tre'von Moehrig and Bryce. Panthers last did that in 2017: Cam Newton, Julius Peppers, Luke Kuechly, Jonathan Stewart and Damiere Byrd.
    • Gotta wonder if Smitty's brain has turned to mush with how hard he played in the NFL
    • OK, fair enough--however, since my point was that drafting a QB in the top 10 is stupid, if you consider the players who were not drafted in the top 10 or those who WERE drafted in the top 10 and did not secure starting positions with the team that drafted them, you should see the point.  Is it smart to draft a QB in the top 10 when only 4 are still starting for the team that drafted them.  Next, consider that half of that number, 2, were drafted outside the first round.  Next, there are 4 (Goff, Mayfield, Jones, and Darnold) who are starting on other teams after busting.   That number could increase as Arizona seems ready to move on from Murray, Miami is not sold on Tua, and jacksonville is still waiting for Trevor to start looking elite.  Bryce?   So to answer your question, there are MANY more QBs in the NFL who have busted and become starters on other rosters, were drafted after day 1, or are still on the cusp than the four who have become elite.  I thought that point was made.
