Teddy Opens up About Carolina (CBS)

Far from the Patriots, we were a team with new HC, OC and DC with very little pro experience.  Very fair criticism and curious if he brought up the need for more practice to coaches.  Maybe, just maybe our coaches/GM hear this.  He is handling it as well as can be expected, plenty to blame on either side.  Panthers did not throw him under the bus and did all they could to retain his value on the marketplace.   For his sake I hope it stays a two qb race in Denver.

Oh look, another reasonble post.  Cheers!

Why would he lie though?

Because he sucked in the redzone and he knows it.

Remember when he blamed Joe Brady for getting the play call in late when he missed DJ wide open in the endzone? Dude's a clown. It was the perfect play call and he just wildly missed as easy of a TD pass as an NFL QB gets.

I highly doubt they'll respond. I'd be disappointed if they do. Just move on.

They'll have to respond even if with some kind of coach speak. Joe Person already told someone on Twitter that he's going to ask Rhule about it, and NFL.com is has already posted an article about it.

There's been quite a few rumors here an there that make me wonder about matt rhule

He might end up being a good coach at some point, but it's clear (to me at least) that he's struggling to keep his head above water at this level.

I think trading him for scraps after one season says it all.

Nothing he did last season should've been surprising to anyone.  That's who he was everywhere else he's been.

What is Carolina going to say except they were wrong?

The perfect response would simply be something along the lines of, "Teddy worked hard here and gave us the heat he had. He's free to say whatever he wants about his time here. Meanwhile, he threw for more redzone TDs last year as a Panther than he has in any other season in his career."

They're gonna blame it on Hurney. I would too. But we all know Teddy wouldn't have been here if Rhule and Brady didn't enthusiastically sign off on it.

    • I feel like anyone within the Panthers fanbase no matter where they land on Bryce should agree on this. He's a good kid. He's intelligent. But ultimately is he going to ever be the guy to command a locker room? Obviously none of us can say. But I just don't get any alpha vibes from him whatsoever. Is that a dealbreaker? Not necessarily. Here's the thing though. We had the talk of his generational years ahead of his age leadership trait clubbed over our heads for weeks nonstop before the draft. But after seeing someone like Sam Darnold navigate life as a starting QB I think anyone here should be able to acknowledge homerism there are some similarities to Darnold in terms of personality. That is not what we were sold. All of this takes me back to before the draft. I just can't shake the sense that Stroud just rubbed Tepper or someone the wrong way. Was he too confident? Not subservient enough? Did they feel Bryce was more marketable and media savvy? My gut says these things weighed more into the pick than they should have. If not. Stroud more than likely would have been the selection. What's done is done though. I'm just like you though. I want to see some fire from Bryce at some point this season. But I'm expecting to be disappointed considering his first order of business following one of the worst rookie seasons ever was to detach completely and do nothing. As always. Hoping for the best. I feel like I have to put a disclaimer at the end of this post for the Bryce superfans. I want to see him do well. I don't want this to end in the worst case scenario. There now we can be friends!
    • I felt the Cam vibes on the huddle with Bryce, in fact its almost there. Threads that have no mention of young, turn in them.  Only deal is Cam had tons more supporters/nut huggers.  I honestly hated talking Cam with 90% of the huddle, in many eyes he was perfectly accurate with all his throws and if he had a legit great game the true haters were missing in action.   Cam board is now a Bryce board...
