If I make millions trading stocks, and then I buy a home building business, does that mean I know how to build a home?

As to Tepper, I'm going off of what he himself has said.

Could he go back on that? Sure, but of he's smart he won't.

Doesn't mean you know about building homes but it means your millions are at risk going forward....and you do seem like the type that would have some strong input in what would happen down the road with it.

One thing I learned a long time ago is the difference between intelligence and expertise.

Even an intelligent man isn't an expert on something he has no experience doing. And if he tries to act like he does over and above those who actually do, then maybe he's not that intelligent after all.

The other alternative is to become an expert.

"Football" really isn't very complicated and for a guy with Tepper's massive intellectual horsepower it's truly child's play...

...you're deluding yourself about the level of Tepper's involvement now, and going forward.

[cue the barfed up rain-man like "Showtime" response...LOL]

Not now, but solely because he's old and declining. In his prime, absolutely. He was championship caliber QB. You'd have to be a moron to say you wouldn't want Prime Big Ben as your QB.

I'd have been fine with him too.

However, the massive contingent of "fans" who have consistently referred to him as "Rapistberger" would look like complete hypocrites if they support Watson.

He did want to play here. Not saying this was his first choice or not, but it was certainly a choice. And, it was reported early.

No he most certainly did not. And that report was misleading click bait. Not a soul from Deshaun’s camp would ever confirm it because it ain’t true. Same way Stafford and other QBs don’t want to come here. And why would they? The only QB we had that was worth a damn we ran out of town.

It is becoming a concern.

Treated TB5 worse than a dog too...

Should I talk about how ironic this is? 😄

(I'll leave it up to you)

    • For what it’s worth Slye has only been in the NFL for two seasons and those first two seasons were better than Gano’s first two seasons. Could be possible Slye recovers and we are back complaining lol. Sometimes, especially for kickers, players just need a new environment to thrive. Also while it’s true since Gano left he has been asked to kick more 50+ and 40-49, AND has been doing well at it….historically he was awful from those distances and has less attempts than players who have been in the league half as long as he has. And those are just documented attempts, not counting the number of time the coach not even trying with him….which is a lot I assume seeing it with Rivera.
    • JFC as I was typing a response to this The Athletic popped up a story about Taylor saying “he reminds me of Russell Wilson”. NFL media is absurd in how they prop up mediocre QB play. Taylor is a nothing more than a solid backup until he proves otherwise. Remember how the media (and some fans) were ready to crown Kyle Allen after he fell into a few wins?
    • Off the top of my head just thinking about game winners/tying FGs, Bengals in 2014 (made a long FG at the end of regulation to send it to OT and a FG to keep it tied at the end of OT). 2015 against the Colts in OT (two FGs, one to tie and one to win in wet conditions). 2015 against the Giants to win it at the end. 2017 against the Patriots at the end to win it.  The only last second game winning FG chance I remember him missing was the 2016 Broncos game. Bottom line is he was way more clutch than he wasn't. Saying he wasn't clutch is just wrong, and I guess it's just because everyone here has a bad memory or haven't been fans for very long.
