That’s twice now our defense has been called on blatant non calls.

I'm starting to believe sports has been taken over by Vegas and the refs along with the leagues are all in on it. It's the only thing that explains such blatant favoritism the refs show all the time. It's made me stop watching the NFL besides the Panthers. Now I'm about ready to give up on the NHL.

With how low the viewership is for the NHL compared to the other major sports, the last thing they want is a small market team like Carolina in the stanley cup finals. They want teams with big name stars that casual sports fans will watch - Carolina isn't that unfortunately.

It’s time for new commissioners in every sport and perhaps a little DOJ pressure honestly. The inconsistency in sports is mind numbing at this point. Look at the GB TB game last playoffs.

    • when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying
    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
