The entire team played like hot garbage for 50 out of 60 minutes in this game. No way they win another game in this series. They’re not a bad team but they completely folded against the Lightning and had no answer for their attack and power play.

Yeah our PP has become nothing and our discipline isn't there anymore either.

Still going to pull for a miracle but I would have bet the house on a canes win if you told me we scored 4 prior to the game.

Even the diehard optimists have to see this series is as good as over unless the lightning bench their top line for 3 games and Mrazek is cut from the roster

Mrazek wont see the ice again.... Have a feeling we take game five and bow out in 6.

Eh maybe, if they stay out of the box. Tampa is so deadly on the PP I just can’t see them winning another game.

Agreed. We will circle circle wagons in the next game and lose in Tampa.

It was a great season and it is a shame to see it all be for naught. Glad we are a young team, though.

It will be interesting to see how we look next year without some guys(Mrazek, Dougie, etc).

This game is going to sting for while, taking a two goal lead and then Mrazek letting in four strait goals between saves was brutal. I think you let them both walk and spend the money elswhere.

Agreed. That is a lot of free money to help us improve. Ned is clearly the future and Dougie is awesome but was just never the same player after that leg injury.

Hoping for someway to get Lehner and then we need another top defenseman that is more defense oriented than offense. I've never liked Offensive Defensemen that much. Only a few.

What a wasted season. Smh.

Yep. Seems to be a trend under Rod. I love the guy but this is slowly becoming like the Bengals with Marvin Lewis.
Great season that gives the fanbase hope until the playoffs and we choke or are outmatched.
You are right this season was a waste.

    • I don't think Tyreek is a bad person to play with on the field, for sure not in the same way that Diggs is, as he's a cancer on the field with how he acts, and wouldn't take kindly to being 2nd fiddle behind T-Mac. It's that Tyreek is just a terrible person who realistically shouldn't even be in the NFL, his insane athletic ability is why his off field transgressions have been overlooked.  If he was a WR3, no team would have kept him around, it was only that he was a 1st ballot HOF level talent that kept him around. Just zero interest in having a person like that around our young WRs, that's really all it comes down to for me with him. Again, if we were true contenders this year, that changes things and I'd rather bring in the best possible players and hope it works out.  But they're trying to build something here and to do that, you need high quality people, not just great talent.
    • I think some depth at guard would be nice.
    • I may no longer have the photo of Sir Purr saved somewhere anymore, as that was taken, uniquely, at an actual game, and sometimes files go missing between computers and phones etc.  That said, I am sure I can find something similar. Maybe even better. Not too worried. I still have regular access to the account email. Change is good.
