Ok you're cherry picking.

Are you someone from the Grier family?   You're cherry picking stats.

You have to admit this is just a little hypocritical after months of cherry picking stats in defense of Darnold and other free agent acquisitions fans have had reservations about...🤔

I'm so sick of this comment.

Cam pulled up at the goalline and didn't go in hard or protect himself.

That's on him. It's the defender's job to knock the schit out of him.

Yeah, that's the dumbest one that gets parroted here.  Cam was strolling like he was shell hunting on the beach. I think some people forget that Ron was an NFL libebacker.

"We want a tough team!!! Ron is so soft!!" "How dare he say he would hit a QB!!"

Because in the finite amount of practice time where we are trying to evaluate who should make the roster, it is crazy they didnt spend time working on the silent count for the 1st preseason game. Absolutely crazy that wasnt one of the first things we put in for the 1st preseason game. Everyone know preseason games are historically loud and a silent count is an absolute must.

again, preseason games give you the chance for actual game reps and scenarios.   We literally went on the road in a dome that had opposing fans.  That is where you prep your team for playing in those environments.  To practice. Any road dome, even in the preseason, can get loud.   So yeah, I would think a very basic silent count is kind of basic stuff you would have guys prepared to practice.

Clearly they discussed it.  Grier alluded to that.  Rhule simply thought they wouldn't need it per Grier.  Rhule is just a green HC.  It is showing and people act like someone called their child ugly every time it gets brought up.   Our own QBs are the ones who keep pointing out the prep just isn't there yet.

and then the counter, is to claim like people are claiming the world is ending.  No, the world isn't ending.  Rhule just needs to get better.

I think Rhule wanted to see if your QB went down, with a lead, could Grier n co. This wasn't just all on him(Will) but the team's overall reaction, Brady's Play calling, etc.. would they be able to hold a lead, could the defense prevent a comeback, if not where was our weak spots ....so I don't mind the ice the game approach...as pointed out by

I understand if he was testing Grier's ability to hold the lead.  But most of the second half was run/run/pass/punt with mostly third string players.  Grier didn't get much of a chance to do anything other than hand the ball off and throw a handful of short passes (and one or two longer ones).  While its possible that Grier might be in that situation, its highly unlikely that we would be playing with that particular group of players.  If we are, then we are in big big trouble.  So I am not sure what could be accomplished.

Of course, this will have almost no impact on the season, and in a couple of weeks, it will be mostly forgotten.  But I found the comment interesting and unusual.

    • So what are "the people" paying for when they give money to a rich dude for a sports ball situation?  The brand and prestige of a sports ball team.  It's the hallmark of a big city to be able to do that.  There is a pretty terrible ROI on public dollars into private enterprise, period.  But governments continue to do it for the image associated with it. Since I live outside of CharMeck, it doesn't affect me much.  I love my Panthers.  They have been part of my life since they announced the team in the early 90s.  My parent's names are on one of those Panther statues.  Some of my best memories with my family and friends come from that stadium.  But on the flip side, could CMS use the $650 million?  What about public housing?  Streets?  Parks & Rec?  There are a lot of other places that $650 million could go. But in our modern society, I bet that after much hemming and hawing, the money will come.  Areas of the budget will suffer.  Some taxes will increase, but that's how things work in our society.  Charlotte is not willing to lose the Panthers.
