ESPN Power(less) Rankings for week 11

He's a total ass. I asked him how he could continue to ignore the second best team in the NFC week after week and he said something about there not being any compelling storylines. Really? You mean a running back tandem that combined for 2,300+ and 28 TDs isn't compelling? Undefeated at home? The absurdly tight NFC South race? Hell, even after the Giants/Panthers game last week, he wrote about Chad Pennington instead of the game between the top two NFC teams.

these rankings are always a joke. Saints at #1? LOL. I guess Colts beating the Pats, and Saints BARELY beating the Rams warrants them a better ranking.. They deserve to be #2, don't get me wrong, but they are playing sloppy ass football these past few weeks, don't they have like 12 turnovers in 3 games?

Broncos shouldn't be in the top 10, Eagles should be a lot lower(near the 20'ish mark, and Carolina and Miami should have moved up a few spots at least.

While that may be true to each and every one of US...I challenge you to goto NFC East, South, West forums and all AFC forums and ask them if they give half a damn about the Panthers. You'll get an almost majority reply of "no". Charlotte is not a major city and it's in the South. He's correct, no one cares. The sooner you accept it, the sooner lack of coverage will insult you.

I don't even have a problem with Saints at No. 1. Yes, they are making a ton of mistakes, but they are winning in spite of them. Not many teams would be able to do that (as evidence by last year's No. 1 offense, 8-8 Saints squad).

I might give the edge to the Colts, but the Saints, I think, might be the more complete team.

    • Best birthday present ever!
    • People were discussing the new backup QB in comparison the the starter.  Neither has anything close to a cannon.  Video was posted of them throwing.  If people can’t be free to express their opinions without being put on a list of posters who have ruined this place we have a bad situation here. People trying to silence  criticism of the QB.    Maybe actually post about the other players instead of about the other posters. That is where it went off the rails.
    • That's true and we're definitely going to hear more about it as summer progresses. But at the end of the day all of the progress we've made on the roster as a whole will only matter if our passing offense can emerge from the basement of the NFL. In 2023 it was 32 out of 32 in 2024 it was 30th out of 32 and last year it was 26th out of 32. And early in the season we relied heavily on a career year from Rico Dowdle who is no longer on the roster. This is only reinforced by the fact that we (depending on how one views it) effectively took playcalling out of Dave Canales hands and brought in another offensive mind. The elephant in the room isn't going anywhere no matter how much we may not like it.
