Free Agents after week 1

I know there is some sort of benefit of waiting until after week 1 before you grab a veteran Free Agent.

You Free Agent / CAP guys.  What's the rule?

Is there any chance we take advantage of this and sign O-linemen that are in the market?  If we aren't going to let the rookies play.  We need some help especially against good defensive football teams. `

When the coach doesn't give you a shot to kick a 50 yarder, you should pack your bags the next day.  50 yards isn't particularly long these days.  Think of it like this:  What if it was one yard closer, but same down and distance.  Do we still punt?

Nice knowing you Santoso.

I don’t understand why it’s so hard for a team to find a kicker. I mean how hard is it to find someone who can kick 50 yard field goals? My short out of shape ass could kick 20 hard field goals in high school and I didn’t even play sports. There are plenty of free agent kickers out there, I think the front office is just over thinking it.

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
